LE GUN: The Unknown Room

Monday, May 23, 2011

The London artist collective known as ‘Le Gun’ are currently exhibiting their ‘The Unknown Room’ at Bourouina Gallery. The exhibition consists of a room-inside-a-room, full of humorous curiosities and paintings of other, even stranger rooms.

The room is inspired by the found diary of the fictitious George Melly, the Da Da loving jazz enthusiast and Soho lover. The room tells the rest of the story.

Bourouina is also hosting “Kino Total”, a film program curated by Amel Bourouina & Markus Draper. Le Gun are showing a number of their movie posters in collaboration with the films.

I’m really looking forward to seeing “Transvestite Nazi Cannibal Sadismo Asylum of the Damned”.

Both run until May 28th, 2011.
