Liz Little, a Canadian visual artist, presented a series of jars ‘preserving’ memories of her past. I found the choice of objects interesting, as I would have chosen some of the same. Is it a Canadian thing? Perhaps a My Little Pony is a universal symbol of childhood? And no, I did not play with My Little Ponies as a child. But I did stuff my neighbor’s Lil’ Pony down a storm drain, which got me grounded for a week. A week!
Also exhibiting were photographers Javier Lozano Jaén and Daniel Santos, painter Enda O’Donoghue and Shuah Brotherton with a site-specific video installation. Music by Sigi Pop and soup by René Müller.
The opening was on Thursday, June 9 and ran until yesterday (posted this one a leetle-on-the-late-side).
