Next summer, Transart Institute’s joint MFA/PhD program is hosting a week-long art festival in Berlin and is looking for local Berlin curators and workshop/seminar leaders to help run the show. The festival will include performances, exhibitions, screenings, projections, pecha kuchas, and other various events and is looking for innovative curators to propose compelling exhibitions and events, taking into account the Institute’s educational ideology. For their exhibition proposal, curators are asked to compose half of the program from artists of their choice, with the other half to be chosen from artists associated with Transart. Innovative and imaginative programming is encouraged, as well as an exploration of the word Trans – in terms of Transition, Transcendence, Transformation, etc.
As planning meetings will take place November 19-23, the deadline for applications and proposals is November 5. Please email Drew Henmi at henmi@transart.org with your ideas, CV and weblinks with the exact subject: “Transartfest! Proposal”.
