Grzegorz Kowalski and Artur Zmijewski are accepting submissions to participate in Creating Through Collaboration. Space. Body. Camera. a workshop in which 24 young artists and students will work together in to mediate conventional divisions: through experimentation with the body and film participants will inhabit the boundaries between individual and collective, artist and art object, performer and spectator, space and time.
The first seven days of the workshop will involve seminars with Prof. Kowalski, in which the participants will live together in an isolated community, learning to express themselves and respond to each other non-verbally, constructing works through improvisation, movement, sound and film. During the second part, participants will engage with and transform the public space of Warsaw under the guidance of Artur Zmijewski.
Creating Through Collaboration. Space. Body. Camera. will run from Aug. 26 – Sept. 01 2013, at the Laboratory building of the CCA Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw. The accommodation fee is 100 EUR for the entire stay; food, travel, and personal expenses will not be reimbursed. Applications will only be accepted from art students and graduates, basic knowledge of film editing software is also necessary.
