More and more frequently, art fairs have begun to showcase curated exhibitions, host screenings, and organize a programme of performances, allowing for a more fulfilling experience of what is happening in the contemporary art market. Art Projects at the London Art Fair, running from January 15th to the 19th, will present curated solo and group shows from international artists and galleries together with a programme of film screenings and artists’ performances. Art Projects involves several separate exhibitions involving galleries displaying group or solo exhibitions, the nominees for the 2014 Caitlin Art Prize, and a new and innovative exhibition series titled ‘Dialogues’. Curated by Adam Carr, the ‘Dialogues’ series will be coupling several galleries with the intention to provide a platform for ‘critical conversations around a shared or common aesthetic’ through the collaborative practices between London-based and international galleries.
