Art Spin Berlin is an art crawl style bicycle tour of creative venues, art performances, and site-specific installations throughout various Berlin neighbourhoods. The tour will happen on July 31, 2014 and consist of 6 curated stops (where each of the 6 selected projects will take place) and last roughly 4 hours from start to finish. The Art Spin tour is free and open to everyone, regardless of cycling ability or artistic knowledge.
Inspired by Art-Spin Toronto, which started in 2010 and is organized once a year, Art Spin Berlin is in its first inaugural year. The event is realized by former Toronto Art Spin coordinator Vanessa Brazeau.
Art Spin Berlin calls for art projects, performances, and installations from all disciplines. A specific theme is not required. However, it is important to keep in mind the large number of participants on Art Spin Tours by proposing a project that will be easily viewed and experienced by larger groups. It is possible that an artist budget for each successful project will be available.
