Video art collective Videokills is looking for original silent works of 5 to 15 minutes in length from video artists and filmmakers across the world.
Work may be abstract, narrative, found footage, animation and more. The only guideline is that the piece deals in some regard with the theme ‘In Transit’. This theme can be interpreted broadly, contemporarily, historically, abstractly, metaphorically, concretely, visibly or invisibly. Chosen pieces will be given to local musicians in Calgary, Canada who will score the piece and perform the score live with the screening at Sled Island Music & Arts Festival.
Send your completed submission (with no sound) to videokillsberlin@gmail.com. Video artists who choose to submit must be comfortable with having their piece scored without pre-approving it.
