BCR Incubator is a project initiated by Berlin Community Radio and funded by Musicboard Berlin. The project is aimed at Berlin-based emerging electronic music talents with a special focus on underrepresented and marginalised creative voices. The BCR Incubator offers: a one month residency at BCR; a live performance at BCR’s Club of the Month event; Master/Remix and Release of your music; a full license and training for Ableton Live 9; a series of Ableton workshops; press photoshoot; international PR and press campaign; full promotional campaign across BCR social media channels; support, advice, management and contacts; and the opportunity to be invited to an artist residency in Sapporo, Japan, conducted by Open Port Club in late Summer.
This year’s jury members—Tabitha Thorlu-Bangura (NTS), Frankie Hutchinson (Discwoman), Anu Ambasna (Rhythm Section), Yuko Asanuma, Anastazja Moser (BCR) and Sarah Miles (BCR)—will choose four acts at the end of May.
Applicants for BCR Incubator must be based in Berlin and should have completed a minimum of one track (could be selfreleased on Youtube, Soundcloud or Bandcamp or any other hosting platform).
The Incubator project is focused on artists who are underrepresented in the music industry, including WOC, QTPOC, female identifying, artists with disabilities, artists with immigrant backgrounds or other marginalized minorities.
