The Berlin project space Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik (ZK/U) offers a 3–8 month, cross-disciplinary residency program for artists, scholars and practitioners in a dynamic living environment. The residency prides itself on active collaboration and mutual exchange through weekly dinners between residents, monthly studio visits from professionals in ZK/U’s network and monthly open studios.
Surrounded by a beautiful public park, ZK/U is a lively social and cultural hub that hosts exhibitions, workshops, conferences, and concerts in Berlin. Projects at ZK/U are informed by practical and theoretical critiques within the fields of geography, anthropology, sociology, urbanism, architecture, and the humanities. ZK/U is particularly interested in projects that create spaces for exchange between diverse citizens, question public infrastructure and grapple with global-local tensions. Artists with conceptual, interventionist and contextual positions are encouraged to apply. The residency space offers studio-apartments and communal spaces for between €550 and €850, depending on the accommodation and length of stay.
