Since MOMENTUM was founded in 1998, it has established itself as one of the most important biennials for contemporary art in the Nordic region. MOMENTUM’s main venues are Momentum Kunsthall and Galleri F15.
Punkt Ø is seeking a main curator for the next MOMENTUM biennial event, a 50% work position between March 1st, 2018 and July 1st, 2019, with the possibility of a project follow-up if this is agreed on.
The professional responsibility of the main curator is to develop the conceptual framework, as well as the artworks and art projects decided on, and agreed upon, with the director; lead the realization of the biennial assisted by two curatorial assistants; the main curator, in collaboration with Punkt Øs management team and artistic team will choose the curatorial assistants; participate in the development of a public art mediation program, as well as the publications that are being produced; report to the director in terms of budget, funding and administration; report to the director on project progress and status, working accordingly to the project plan and its goals.
MOMENTUM 10 is on display from June 1st until October 9th, 2019 in Moss, Norway.
