Edition 13 of Amsterdam Light Festival, taking place from November 28th, 2024 until January 19th, 2025, is now open to submissions worldwide. Creatives at all stages are invited to send concept proposals for a light artwork. Up to 25 artworks will be selected and co-created with the guidance and financial support of the festival. Selection is based on several criteria including the use of light, relationship to the theme and adherence to the artist briefing.
In 2025, Amsterdam will celebrate its 750th anniversary. For the theme of Edition 13, Amsterdam Light Festival invites artists to represent and reflect on rituals that are meaningful to the diverse community of this city.
