Pool is a Berlin-based festival dedicated to dance film. Every year Pool presents a selection of fascinating dance film productions from all over the world, which makes the event a meeting ground for creative people involved in the fields of dance, film, fashion and advertisement.
This year, Tanz Festival will take place between October 4–7, 2017 at DOCK 11 in Berlin. Pool 17 invite dancers, choreographers, filmmakers and artists to apply with short dance films and dance animations. Films should not be longer than 30 minutes. No documentations of dance pieces will be accepted. Applicants are asked to submit a preview link to their film, and successful applicants will then be asked to submit copies of the full film.
The Pool 17 jury will create a film programme from all submissions and select the winner films, the Pearls 17. Pearls are the equal winners of Pool 17 – Internationales Tanzfilmfestival Berlin and will be honoured with prize money.
