The Drawing Hub residency is a production/experiment space where artists can meet and work on individual or collaborative projects and ideas. The program is non-prescriptive and process-based, allowing artists to develop projects in response to their environment. The program aims to facilitate the international exchange and the exchange of ideas through artistic practice in the area of contemporary drawing.
The residency is a 2-month program (shorter periods are possible upon request) comprising of: weekly group critiques with the curator, regular artist talks, artist studio visits, final group exhibition and social media promotion. All talks, critiques and activities in the residency programme will be conducted in English.
The participants will work in a shared 150 cm2 studio space equipped with kitchen, bathroom, storage, tables, chairs and other communal facilities. Every participant gets approximately 30-35cm2 space for work. You can view the photos of The Drawing Hub project space on Instagram. As a contemporary drawing research center, The Drawing Hub space also provides plenty of books and catalogues for artists to utilise for their research and practice during the residency. Unfortunately, accommodation inside the studio space is not possible.
