Open Call for Iranian Artists

Raf Projects, in cooperation with the Center for Art and Urbanism in Berlin (ZK/U), invites Iranian artists under the age of 40 to apply for a one-month residency in Berlin during the spring and summer of 2018. Each artist will receive a 50 square-meter studio to work and live in and flight tickets up to 500€ will be covered. The selected artists will have the opportunity to visit the Berlin Biennale accompanied by members of Raf Projects who will provide insight into this international event. The selected artists will also be encouraged to visit various Berlin galleries and institutions. Raf Projects will put great effort in creating as many links between the visiting Iranian artists and Berlin-based artists as possible. A city tour of Berlin will also be provided during the first days of each artist’s arrival.

Raf Projects began as an alternative art gallery in Tehran in 2009 and after three years it evolved into a curatorial collective developing interdisciplinary artistic projects for Iranian and international institutions. Since 2017 Raf Projects has been registered as a non-profit association in Berlin.
