The current exhibition ‘The Moment is Eternity’ at me Collectors Room in Berlin is an impressive show featuring around 300 primarily photographic works by more than 50 artists, including Diane Arbus, Henri Cartier-Bresson, William Eggleston, Zoe Leonard, Robert Mapplethorpe, Lisette Model, Eadweard Muybridge, Gerhard Richter, Agnieszka Polska, August Sander, Cindy Sherman, Juergen Teller and Wolfgang Tillmans, to name just a few. Interspersed throughout the historic and contemporary photographic works, however, are also modern masters, ranging from Goya to Kirchner, and objets d’art that look like they could belong to the Wunderkammer housed upstairs.
In its offering of unexpected pairings and surprising archival images, the exhibition is almost a cabinet of curiosities itself, helping visitors to see familiar works in a fresh light. For those of you who want to experience the show—and enjoy a glass of wine while you’re at it—you’re in luck: Berlin Art Link is giving away two tickets to two readers for me Collectors Room’s weekly Art & Apéro event, an afternoon of art and aperitifs held every Thursday from 4–6pm. During the event guests are invited to enjoy a glass of sparkling, red or white wine and a MitteSchnitte while perusing ‘The Moment is Eternity’ and the Wunderkammer Olbricht.
To win tickets to Art & Apéro on Thursday, December 13th, follow us on Facebook and/or Instagram, like the corresponding post, and tag a friend in a comment. The winners will be announced next Tuesday, December 11th.
