As exhibitions close and concerts are cancelled, creatives are turning to the internet to bring their projects to the world virtually. From the mainstays of the largest galleries and institutions to Berlin’s smallest clubs, exciting cultural offerings are appearing all over the internet. One such initiative is One Heart Berlin, who are helping ensure we get our daily culture fix as we adjust to the new strictures of life under lockdown, by featuring the works of artists and musicians through their Instagram page and website.
Each day One Heart Berlin introduces one work of an artist whose exhibition has had to prematurely shutter, or a musician whose concert can no longer go ahead, providing a collective platform for the rich and diverse creative culture of Berlin. Established by the musuku – the Museum of Subcultures, One Heart Berlin seeks to provide a moment of contemplation during this uncertain time.
Featuring Linda McCartney’s solo exhibition ‘The Polaroid Diaries’ at C/O Berlin, a group show at Schloss Biesdorf titled ‘Looking for Now’ and songs from a cancelled concert by CocoRosie at Festsaal Kreuzberg, One Heart Berlin is a curated collection of art to view online and hopefully in real life soon.
Head to their website and follow the One Heart Berlin Instagram to get your daily dose of Berlin creativity.
