Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin invites artists and filmmakers to submit one or several cinema, video or multimedia works to be considered for the program of their next edition in Paris in February 2022. Submitted works must be produced within the last two years, and must not yet have been publicly shown in Paris and Île-de-France Region. There are no restrictions on length or genre.
Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin is a major event dedicated to the contemporary practices of the moving image. The festival offers a space to discover and reflect upon new cinema and contemporary art. Each year a large number of spectators and professionals from around the world gather to discover the Rencontres Internationales program, which includes screenings, exhibitions and performances of works by internationally recognized artists and filmmakers, along with those of young artists and first-time filmmakers. Debates and roundtables with guest curators, artists and researchers provide an additional perspective on the program and the opportunity to question contemporary artistic practices and their concerns. For the first time, Rencontres Internationales will invite an international jury to award a prize to one of the works of the 2022 program. This cross-disciplinary prize will distinguish a unique work in the field of moving images.
