Artspring invites artists with studios based in the district of Pankow (i.e. in Weißensee, Prenzlauer Berg or Pankow) to take part in the upcoming artspring 2022 art festival.
Artspring is launching its sixth edition this year. The festival period begins on May 6th, and the weekend of open studios takes place on June 11th and 12th. As in previous years, all participating studios will be listed with photos and text on artspring’s website and in the festival newspaper that is available throughout the district.
This year the festival’s motto is: “Myth is gone” [Der Mythos ist hin] and the festival hopes to open a wide discussion around this topic with the artists, partners and the public. During the month-long festival, events will include an exhibition room / pop-up store in the Schönhauser Allee Arcaden during the entire period; an exhibition in the municipal gallery Pankow; a new edition of the artspring artwalk – art in public space; the artspringnale film festival; an artspring audio literature series; presentation of several positions in the podcast; exhibition of guest artists from Israel in cooperation with the Pankow-Ashkalon city partnership; and presentation of studio portraits with interviews in the magazine section of the artspring website.
The festival month will also take place through artist-run events, creating opportunities to invite visitors to your studio, beyond the weekend of the open studios, and to get in touch with you. A call for concerts, readings, talks and performances will take place later among those who have registered.
