Open Call for Artlab Editorial Fellowship

Artlab is looking for two writers who want to explore contemporary social issues related to their geographic regions through the lens of contemporary art. Writers who are invested in bringing new perspectives to a global network of readers and explore today’s social issues with an eye toward the future are invited to apply.

The fellowship is for art writers at any stage of their career. It provides $10,000 to each fellow to produce three pieces of writing over the course of 2023. The programme is led by Hyundai Artlab and Fellowship Advisors Hunter Braithwaite, Orit Gat, Shannon Lee and Barry Schwabsky (previous Artlab Editorial contributors). With their mentorship, Artlab Editorial Fellows will be encouraged to write across different formats, including art criticism and personal essays, and consider the inclusion of multimedia and social media.

The Artlab Editorial Fellowship is an open call: all writers who meet the eligibility requirements can apply by filling an online form.
