Open Call for Dreaming Beyond AI Residency

Dreaming Beyond AI invite emerging artists to apply for this year’s thehost.is artistic residency. Five artists-in-residence will work individually and collaboratively to explore the relationship between time and AI.

Applicants should submit a short project idea that can be worked on within two months and submissions should make the current mechanisms and effects of AI and temporality understandable for a broad audience. Preferably, proposals should present alternative visions instead of questioning current hegemonic orders.

The residency will be compensated with 4000 Euros and will take place online and offline from June 23–30, 2023 near Hamburg, Germany (in person) and in July and September (digitally). Within their residency, participants will receive creative sparring with the artists Idil Galip, Moisés Horta, Neema Githere, Petja Ivanova, and Vanessa A. Opoku. The projects will be presented by the artists in residence in Hamburg in the frame of a symposium.
