The unfamiliar can sometimes have an “alienating” effect on us. At the same time, however, it also opens us up to new experiences. At the 60th Venice Biennale, titled ‘Foreigners Everywhere,’ we encounter exactly this feeling. Here, the artworks offer a diversity of perspectives, speaking to us as if we were foreigners. Each piece included in the sweeping international art exhibition invites us to explore something new, from different corners of the world. We visited the preview of the Biennale, which is open to the public from April 20th to November 24th, and compiled some photos to give you a glimpse into the highlights of this edition.
