Salta art and Pivô are offering a residency in São Paulo for curators, cultural workers and professional contemporary visual artists from Munich and the Munich S-Bahn area from August 5th to November 2nd, 2025.
During their stay, participants can take advantage of activities suggested by Pivô, such as curatorial guidance, a master class with a guest, one-on-one meetings with guest speakers, group exercises and workshops. The program will be announced by Pivô at the beginning of the residency period. The activities and orientation will be defined by the resident and with the curatorial support of Pivô’s team.
Participants will receive a monthly stipend of €800, material expenses up to €700, accommodation and a studio space for the entire residency period. Expenses can be pre-paid or reimbursed. A round-trip economy ticket between Munich and São Paulo will also be covered. For additional readings, workshops, seminars or research trips the residency holder will be reimbursed for expenses and receive an honorarium by Salta art. A written report at the end is expected.
Salta art is also teaming up with Artist-in-Residence Munich, Ebenböckhaus to offer a residency for one contemporary visual artist from South America from July 7th to September 29th, 2025. The artist-in-residence will live and work at Ebenböckhaus in Munich, Germany.
The Ebenböckhaus is in the center of the district of Munich-Pasing and is well connected in terms of transport and utilities. There is a large apartment for up to three artists at a time, with separate living / sleeping rooms (fitted with locks), a shared kitchen, and bathroom / WC and three rooms (52 m²) for work and public presentation opportunities.
An Open Studio event is organized at the end of the residency session at the Ebenböckhaus. This is an opportunity for the residents to present their ongoing research to art professionals and the public and to create a direct connection with audiences. The Ebenböckhaus is not barrier-free. Salta art offers a shared studio workspace at Empfangshalle, located in the heart of the Kreativquartier in Munich.
Additionally, the artist can benefit from a MakerPlus membership by MakerSpace Munich. MakerSpace is a collaborative workshop in Munich, where people come together to create using tools such as 3D printers and electronics. It’s a shared space for innovators, artists, and entrepreneurs to work on projects, learn from each other and participate in workshops and events. The membership gives access to the full workshops (Hand Tools, Metal, Wood, IoT, Electronics, Lasercut, Additive Manufacturing, Textile).
