Attic of Transboavista with work by Angela Ferreira
Lisbon’s Transboavista is a multiple art project installed in the Palace Marquis of Sampaio, which dates back to 1712 (and was partially rebuilt in 1952). The three stories and attic edifice, founded and directed by the collector Vitor Pinto de Fonseca, consist of a project space, commercial gallery, artist residencies, the editorial office of the art journal Artecapitalnet, and enterprises for design and communication. In its program of temporary exhibitions, the non-commercial gallery Plataforma Revolver has recently opened the CCI program – the Contest for Independent Curators, which invites international curators to apply for staging a group show to be exhibited in September 2012. Plataforma Revolver will take over the organization and mounting of the exhibition as well as the publication of a catalogue.
