Are you an artist living in Berlin for at least 6 months? Would you like to be in a group exhibition with an accompanying catalog? What about a residency in an Italian villa and prize money… even a trophy designed by a famous artist? Yes. This actually exists. It’s called the Berlin Art Prize, the new art prize for Berlin.
This award, recently established for contemporary art in Berlin, has just begun its open call for artists for the launch of its very first annual Berlin Art Prize. Its aim is to support the city’s art scene in a non-institutional format with a prize awarded by a select jury of art professionals in Berlin, aiming to give opportunities to those artists not supported by established institutions and corporations.
