ANNEX:art, an international program providing artists with exhibition and studio spaces, residencies, workshops, and the like, will be offering its annual Spätsommer Artist Residency this coming August and September. The residency will give artists a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of city life with its location at Kunsthof Tangendorf in Prignitz County, half way between Berlin and Hamburg.

The residency is open to artists of all mediums and genres, including visual art, music, and literature and hopes to provide these individuals with a productive and creative environment in which they can exchange and collaborate on ideas in a way that would not be possible at their home studios.

Prospective artists should have a concrete vision for their projects and should provide a detailed outline in their applications. Preference will be given to artists outside of Germany, but artists must be at least 21 years old and be eligible to travel and stay in Germany for the duration of the residency (min. 2 weeks- max. 2 months).

The venue, Kunsthof Tangendorf, is a 19th century rural farm and artist retreat, which gives artists a chance to reconnect with nature in the surrounding countryside, though artists are also welcome and encouraged to make use of ANNEX:art’s other venues and programs in Berlin and Saint Louis.

The cost is 190 euros per week, including a private room and shared bath/kitchen. Food and beverages are extra.

The deadline for applications is July 31, 2015.
