On the night of Friday, May 22nd, The Lost Lectures will be returning to Berlin with another exciting and diverse lineup. The Lost Lectures is an underground series of talks, lectures, and events that take place in secret locations throughout the world. With events in San Francisco, New York, London, and more, the series takes lectures out of a purely academic or professional context and provides attendees with a more innovative and provocative approach to learning and creative collaboration. Speakers include scientists, artists, techies, designers, entrepreneurs and entertainers.
Last year’s ‘Lost in Berlin’ series was held in the repurposed swimming pool at Stadtbad Wedding and boasted the likes of artist Julius Von Bismarck, Berlin-based parkour group, ParkourONE, Professor of Neurogenetics Bjorn Brembs, and artist/musician Peaches, who finished with a “crowd walk”, in which she literally walked on the crowd’s hands. The lectures are educational, entertaining, and interactive, challenging conventional perceptions and informing the audience about innovations in all fields of work.
This year’s full ‘Lost in Berlin’ lineup will be revealed a month before the event, but lecture-goers can expect “live performances, radical ideas, demos and possibly a few fights” at a venue that has been described as a “jaw dropping historic relic that’s crumblier than a scorched strudel”. The event will take place in the evening, from 7pm to midnight, and the location will not be disclosed to ticket holders until a few days before. Though the event is open to the public, people are encouraged to buy tickets well in advance as they are in high demand.
‘Lost in Berlin’ will take place on May 22nd from 7pm-12am and tickets go on sale today, March 25th at 12pm.
