‘Enrico — autoaction in rehearsals’ is a collection of installations by Marie Jeschke and Anja Langer, presented by Display. The exhibition continues a dialogue between the two artists, this time exploring the nature of Display’s space as a self-proclaimed “junction point between an artist and a curator.” This notion of showing and being shown is translated artistically through Jeschke and Langer’s varied approaches to transformation and decontextualisation. Their mixed-media installations integrate found objects with painting and sculpture, presenting materials that reference recycling material and the organic nature of idea-forming. Through this, Jeschke and Langer draw attention to the physicality of their work and a sense of its impermanence: a momentary conversation between two artists, contemplating their own and each other’s practice.
