In the new year, the second edition of the Dhaka Art Summit, hosted by the Samdani Art Foundation, will present the works of over 250 South Asian and international artists in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The non-commercial event focuses on contemporary art from several South Asian countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, the Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. This month, creative hub the WYE will host CYBERFEST: TIME & PLACE, a festival for technologically-based art that has been developing in Russia since 2007. This marks the first time the festival will be held outside of St. Petersburg. The WYE will showcase more than 100 innovators, including sound art, performances, film and video art and public exhibitions focussing on Berlin’s art and tech community and providing a survey of Russian contemporary art.

Berlin-based music and culture magazine Electronic Beats has just announced the headliners for its autumn music festival at the Alter Schlachthof in Dresden. Yoann Lemoine, known by his stage-name Woodkid, will be performing at the festival in mid-November.
